Heres another variation of palak... The Pulav variation with less spices for father in law...
Ingredients:
Raw rice [cooked and cooled] - 2 Cups
Palak finely chopped - 1 bunch
Peas - 1 cup
Onion finely chopped - 1
Green chillies - 2 to 3
Cinnamon - 1
Cloves - 5 to 6
Bay leaves - 2
Oil - 4-5 tsp
Cumin - 3 tbspn
Ghee - 1 tsp
Pepper corns - 1 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
salt - as per taste

1.Cook rice with bayleaf and keep for cooling.By doing this they will not stick to each other.
2.In a big pan take some oil add jeera[cumin] and wait till it starts to splutter.
3.Now add all the spices and 1 tsp of oil and fry them for 3 mins.
4.Add chopped onions and fry till it turns slightly brown in colour.
5.Now add spinach to it and close the lid and allow it to cook for 3 mins.Then saute and add salt ,chilly powder and pepper powder to it and then add all the cooked rice.
6.Saute till each rice is coated with oil.
7.Now its ready to be served.
Serve it hot with Papad, Aloo fry , gobi manchurian or jus simple raita and sauce.
