Raddish is a vegetable, with which i was only doing sambars and was getting bored with it. So after searching for some time came across this. It was very tasty & surprisingly every one liked it too...
Radish (mooli) - 500g boiled and chopped
Urad dal - 1 tbsp
Coriander (dhania) seeds - 1 tbsp
Peppercorns (kalimirch) - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds (jeera) - 1 tbsp
Dry kashmiri red chillies - 4

Asafoetida (hing)
Ghee
Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Method
Without peeling the skin, pressure cook the raddish.
Peel off the outer skin and cut it into square pieces.
Dry roast the Urad dal, Coriander (dhania) seeds,Peppercorns (kalimirch), Cumin seeds (jeera), Dry kashmiri red chillies and Asafoetida.
Make a masala powder with the roasted items.
Heat the ghee in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
When the seeds crackle, add the radish, turmeric and salt, mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
Add the ground masala powder, add a little ghee and cook till all the ingredients mix well.
Serve hot with rice.
